    Room/Rental Policies


Our goal at Riverwood Resort is to provide a pleasurable, memorable, hospitality experience for our guests; while ensuring you the best value with scratch cooking and excellent service. To ensure your event a success, please read the following policies:

Food & Beverage

All food and beverage items are provided by Riverwood, with the exception of wedding cakes. Our menus are suggested for your convenience, but our Executive Chef will be happy to modify your menu with any special requests you may have. Your final menu selections are due two weeks prior to the event.

Food and beverage charges are subject to a 17% service charge and 6% Michigan sales tax.

A guaranteed guest count is required seven days prior to your event, along with a full payment based on the final count. A head count will be taken during the event, and you will be billed at the event for any guests over your previous final count. Payment is due immediately at the event for this overage, as well as any open bar and/or misc. charges. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mas MasterCard, and Discover.

Alcohol consumption by any person under the age of 21 will be grounds for immediate termina­tion of the event. All Alcohol MUST be purchased through Riverwood. It is AGAINST THE LAW to bring outside alcohol on to the premises. A Fine up to $500 per container may be imposed. Ex­cessive alcohol consumption by any guest will not be tolerated and may lead to their expulsion and possibly the termination of the event. The last Call for alcohol service will be no later than 11:25 p.m., with the bar closing at 11:40 p.m.

Food and beverages may not be removed from Riverwood.

Deposits & Room Rental Fees

A deposit (listed below) is required  to secure the reservation upon booking. Full payment is due 7 days in advance. 

Encore Banquet Room - Maximum Capacity: 200 guests

Deposit: $150

  • Weekday (Mon. - Thurs.) $100 / Hour
  • Weekend (Fri. - Sun.) $125 / Hour
    *Minimum 3 hour rental*

"Club 989" Room-standard - Maximum Capacity: 48 guests

Deposit: $150

  • Morning Rate (8 a.m. - 12p.m.): $200
  • Weekday Rate (Mon.-Thurs.): $75 / hour
  • Weekend Rate (Fri.-Sun.): $90 / hour

An additional fee may be charged if extraordinary set-up requirements are needed.


Cancellation of a confirmed reservation must be made in writing at least three months prior to the event to receive a refund of the deposit. Cancellation of all other confirmed reservations must be made in writing at least 30 days prior to the event to receive a refund of the deposit. Any cancellations within the 30 day window are subject to a full charge of payment for the event.


Riverwood is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Any damage to Riverwood property will be charged to the organization and/or person making the reservation. All events will end no later than 12:00 a.m.
